In addition to our design services, in a strategic move towards producing our own brand of embedded hardware, a dedicated design team has now been selected to focus on developing a variety of accessory and add-on boards for the popular and fast expanding open source hardware market.
Single board computers such as the popular Arduino and recently introduced Raspberry Pi are truly low cost and are being used in variety of ingenious ways. The advent of low cost RF devices and internet is producing and explosion of useful devices for the masses.
Pentacom Technology has decided to enter this open source market, to extend it's services to the end users. As such a number of exciting designs are being developed, many in their advance stages. These include Raspberry Pi and Arduino I/O expansion boards and analogue to digital converters. Also, digital radio links and transceivers in the ISM bands which require no license, and the exciting Bluetooth 4.0 low energy modules which can allow these computers to communicate with a variety of sensors, Android and iOS devices.
Designs are currently being finalised for an estimated market release of Autumn 2013.
